  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm not a Fuente fan by even a stretch...but I have enjoyed Opus. They are much better with a year or so on them imo. I've had them fresh..and while they are good, they are too strong. Opus is probably one of the only Fuente products I've enjoyed. They're a fine cigar, but not worth the hard search and extreme prices if you ask me.

Congrats on busting your Opus cherry, and yes..they can be had cheaper.

Holy smokes!!! First he's a naysayer about Pepin (why the nerve) and now he's talking down about the Fuentes. For shame, for shame...why, that's blasphemy:eyequiver

I've always preferred Cuban or Nicaraguan tobacco to D.R. or Honduras...but that's just a generalization. Fuente just never impressed me the way it impresses other people. I'll take a Padron over Fuente anyday. But I've always said that Short Stories are a good value and a pretty decent cigar (the only cigar with a sugary wrapper imo). And I think Opus are very good...just not worth the money and time to search them out sometimes. Anejo is ok, but inconsistent and they seem to have mold issues as well. I think it's a great idea to have at least a handfull or two of Opus in the humi.

Just my .02.

^ Same here my friend, I did recently pick up some Don Carlos, which are supposed to be kinda similar in taste.

Hmm, I wonder if Wade has ever had one?? :widemouth
My fav is the power ranger, a lot of flavor for a short smoke.

I know where Wade lives. If your up for it, we can raid his humi.:glassesgr :glassesgr

I have heard here and other places that ageing Opus X make a good cigar a great cigar. Reminds me when one of my non cigar smoking friends in an attempt to impress me told me of an event he attended where they were hand rolling cigars. He said he smoked one and "boy, you just can't beat a fresh rolled cigar!" I just smiled and said yeah, buddy.
