Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Hear hear. Never heard of it either, though....IMO- ANYTHING blended by Garcia is worth the investment.

Let us know how they are, mate, as I am quite intrigued by these.Had a mazo of 10 from the first batch of Achilles. Delicious mild medium smoke, nice creamy flavor. I still have a couple, for fear of running out. Wrapper tends to be delicate, but a fantastic morning smoke.
Don't know anything about the 2nd batch that just came out- but I did order a box of robustos yesterday. If they're like the first batch, I have a fresh supply of a great breakfast smoke.![]()
You are partially right..."blended by Ernesto Padilla and executed by Jose Don Pepin Garcia. "I would be really surprised if these are still blended by Pepin. I thought he ended his relationship with Padilla, hence no more 1932's, Miami's, etc. I am almost positive that this is a new blend.
What does executed by Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia mean? o you mean he originally created the blend for these sticks and they are now being blended by Padilla? I was almost sure that Pepin no longer had anything to do with Padilla, although i defer to your knowledge if you know something otherwise. You are partially right..."blended by Ernesto Padilla and executed by Jose Don Pepin Garcia. I should have been more specific, thanks Ocat. I appreciate the info on the sticks as well, i have not had any since they have been made in the Padilla factory. I like spicy as well, i may have to try these Achilles after all.Padilla is still making the Miami and Sig 1932 in his own factory. I have smoked boxes of both. I like Padilla's new from his own factory better then the Pepin stuff. A little more robust then the Pepin made ones. Go figure. The new Achilles is a little spicier then the old blend. Wrapper are much better too. Both very good. Newer blend better imho.

I could not agree more. These cigars defy the rules of aging, they get worse with time.Ya know what? I liked these right out of the gate, but had one a week or so ago and was not imppressed at all. Oh Well they look good in the humi.
That is a quote from the web page. Not sure what it means other than it was Not blended by Pepin. What does executed by Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia mean? o you mean he originally created the blend for these sticks and they are now being blended by Padilla?
