Smoked them both...gotta be honest...they were both good and similar to the "regular" 64 series, but they set the bar too high with the 40 Years Maduro in my opinion. It's still the best in my eyes.

I did see one interesting thing when unboxing the cigars. The cigar band refers to a 1964 blend, but the box divider says "Serie 1926"....hmmpadron 50 pic 2.jpg

The family reserve band does reverence the 1964 series and the 1926 series does also have 10 count boxes so this does not seem odd to me
The reason it seems odd to me is because the 1964 series and 1926 series are two different cigar blends, but this box refers to both. It may be exactly the way Jorge intended, just caught my eye that they referenced "serie 1926" on the box divider of a cigar that has a 1964 band.

Ouch @ $25 a stick. Definitely won't be an everyday smoke for me but I'll try one for a special occasion.
Got to try a family reserve at least once, pretty darn great :)
They are... One of the few cigars worth the excessive msrp!
Would rather smoke one FR than two 26s!

Expensive yes but you get 25$ worth of smoking bliss out of them..
No idea what they put in them or do to the tobacco, but it WORKS!

Everything that padron makes is worth every penny imo. That's why I have no problem spending the money on them.

I just finished the 50th, and I think it is the best Padron I've had so far...even better than the 80th. I've never had the Millenium, so I can't compare it to that one.
