And catching these little guys.
We headed home for a bite to eat.
Then I went out to the patio to smoke Fridays smoke. It may have been late but it was worth it.
Temp 66 deg. Sunny a very little wind.
Drink water.
Smoke Padron Serie 1926 80 years(from twenty5)
Initial impression. No nicks, Oily flawless wrapper. Very little veins, almost none.
Prelight aroma. Light tabacco.
Cut with Xikar at top and bottom of this perfecto.(no issues)
At light up.
Very first puffs very eazy draw, lots of smoke. Lots of cedar and spice.
1st 3rd.
Lots of Drywood, I could tell this cigar has aged tabacco almost instantly. Burn started to go uneven. Waited to see what happened. Still Spicey just right amount.
Continued to concentrate on slow smoking this beauty.
Very begining of 2nd.
Very complex cigar almost out of my leauge. Hard to pull out every individual taste. Everything right now is hiding behind something else.
2nd 3rd.
Burn has corrected with help of the ST. Dupont. Dry Earth is coming thru. Spice is all but gone. Extremely smooth and eazy to retro hale. Also Nuts, and very small amounts of coffee are coming thru. Also more clean clean tabacco taste. Still a light draw, but with the right puff, man it lets you get a hell alot of smoke.
End of 2nd. More coffee coming thru.
3rd begining.
Very dark chocalate prob the richest coffee tasting cigar I've ever had. The ash has been holding well almost the whole cigar. 2 inches or more.
Alot of previous notes are coming and going, as soon as you thought you have it it switches again.
End of cigar.
Trying to nub this bute but its getting hot. Right before the nub I got a tad of cinnamon. Now at the nub I'm getting Mint leaves.
Well I let here go out and reflected on a few things.
First. Thanks to twenty5 for gifting me this beauty. I bought 1 a month earlier and forgot I took it off my wishlist due to price. He seen a earlier page and gifted it to me. I contacted him on paying for it because I already had 1 now. He wouldnt have it. Told me to keep mine and smoke his, so thats what I did. Thanks again it was 1 of the greatest I have had to date.
What a day I had with the wife. Fishing, catching fish. But more important, spending time with the misses out on the water.
This cigar was one of the best I,ve had. Im rating it a 94. Couple points I had to take off for price and a burn issue. Other then that I will smoke a few more for special occasions.
Hope you guys enjoyed my review on the Padron 80th(Fridays smoke).
I know I did!
