  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

i would go with the xikar.... you not only get a cutter (which cuts super clean) but you get all the tools. There's a draw poker, a bottle opener... also a tool to empty out your butane lighter. pretty handy little tool.

I have 2 xikar, 1 xikar mulit tool and 2 palios.

When at home I find myself reaching for the palio almost 100% of the time lately. When I go out, I bring the multi tool, I love having a nubber/poker and all the other little tools in one package.

I have a Xikar xi3, but I have never used the scissors. Last time I used the Palio it gave a clean cut. Its hard to compare the scissors to a guillotine though.

My vote would be for the Xikar

I have both and love both. I use the palio more than the xikar just cause that is the first one I see. But both are always on the table or in my travel box.

Can't go wrong with either one. Lately I've been favoring the MTX - it's hooked on my keychain, so I'm less concerned with loosing it. When I'm at home I'll reach for the Palio.

I have a Black MTX that I am looking to sell....25 bucks. Have it posted in the sale area.

Here is a pic:

Sounds like a win-win there.

However, your two choices between the Xikar multi and the Palio is comparing apples to oranges. Each has is features and benefits. There is a new Xikar on the market, however, called the X8 that is an apples to apples comparison. Cuts 64rg, two fingered cutter design, cigar rest, and a MSRP of 24.99.

I have a pic of the two side by side but dont know if its bad form to post it here since Im a rep for Xikar. What say you admin?

Oooh, i like it, i'm a self-proclaimed Xikar-wh0re. I'm ok with posting of pics as long as it's for educational purposes. :eyebrow: What say you, admins?
