I'm a HUGE Palio fan. I bought a Carbon Fiber unit awhile back. When cutting a cigar that (apparently) had a big stem inside, my Palio got a tiny little notch in it. It didn't affect the cutting ability, but it nagged on me. I exchanged a few messages with Marc Aub from Palio and he fixed it so I was able to work an exchange at a B&M that sold Palio. (Buckhead Cigar in the Atlanta area). I walked in with TimD and brought out my cutter...the owner, without hesitation, brought out a new one and exchanged it right then and there.
The new one I got from them isn't cutting as awesomely as it used to and I was thinking that it's just par for the course. Marc once again told me to SEND IT IN ASAP. It's on the way back to them, and I know a new one will be on its way. They prefer you never be without a cutter and exchange it at a local dealer, but I have none here in the great state of Eastern Washington.
I have NO complaints about their customer service.
That having been said, I also have NO complaints about Xikar customer service. I've sent in a Xikar cutter that I dropped and it broke into many individual pieces (spring lost forever). They sent me a new one no questions asked.
All of this to say that both companies have an AWESOME return/exchange warranty. I like the idea of a little multi-tool that I can put on my key ring. However, my day-to-day cutter that remains in my pocket is the Palio.
