  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Palio or Xikar?

I've decided to finally get a nice cutter and I'm not sure which to get. These seem to be the most popular so I'd like to hear what you all think and what the positives and negatives of each are.

I have two Xikar's and one Palio. I like both, but I use the one I have one of the most. I love it.

Palio.. though while trolling through the many malls here in Dubai I came upon a fake Xikar or may be it was the real deal I don't know this place is crazy expensive... I'll go check it out again and may be pick it up.

I have both. Both are great, but I always prefer the Palio. And Mark at cigarmony.com is definitely the go-to guy for these.

How about this as a third choice the Swiss Army Knife cutter. I have two Palios and a SAK, I've been putting off getting a Xikar but I will eventually. I want to have at least one. I love the Palio because as two have said you can use it as a rest when you don't have anything available.

You guys are convincing me to get a Palio - I've been wanting one, but keep putting it off.

My current go-to is the Xikar folding (powder-coated) scissor on my keychain. I love it.

I have a Palio, a Xikar, and a SAK.

I use the Palio and the SAK most of the time (the SAK makes a better cut) and I bet I haven't cut a cigar with my Xikar in 6+ months.
