I was at the PCA and a few observations:
- Even though PCA said there was a lot of people, the floor seemed dead. Pretty sparse the first day and worse from there
- Everyone is all about that San Andreas wrapper
- Everyone seems to want to make cigars that cost 20+. It's insane how thy keep pushing the average price of cigars up and up.

Just remember in the end its all about the business. These companies will keep pushing up the price.

What is the market really like for $25 cigars though? At that point you are competing with Habanos on the world market. In America inflation has cut into most folks disposable income. It doesn't feel like a winning strategy. But, I can see how the COVID boom may have lead to a new generation of smokers that only smoke a couple of times a month and will spend more per stick.

Thank God for things like a $7 Zino Nicaragua that puts nearly all $20-$50 cigars I've smoked to shame.

Ya those zinos are decent. I havnt had too many cigars over $15 that were memorable as well… on a consistent basis, save davidoff.

There certainly is a market as most cigars in CA sell for upwards of 20+ due to taxes and they really do not have issues selling. I hope more places take note of what cigarpage.com is doing and tell the MAP agreements to pound sand. Let the free market work itself out.

Part of that is cost of living though. A few years ago my wife and I looked at moving to California because of a job offer. The job she does here pays almost double in Cali. Try finding a 2,200sqft house near the Bay area though. It runs about 500% more than it does here.
