Yeah, I'm starting to think so as no other good explanation has been found.

Shame that a potentially very good Cigar would have this problem.

Fortunately, they still smoke just fine, so not a terribly big deal

Stop aging cigars that long and smoke the damn things. Problem solved.
I actually don't age any of my cigars.

All the aged ones I have ever had were given to me in bombs

I don't have the space or patience to sit on Cigars for 10 years. I don't know how others do it
