Ok so ive had a couple bowls in the past and blasphemous i know but i didnt care it. Being a cigar smoker i know to revisit smokes that i havent cared for in the past. Plus i know my palate has changed rather quickly with pipe baccy.

Tonight i packed a Nording with some Penzance. AND I LOVED IT!

So what baccys have you guys tried that maybe you didnt care for but when you revisited you loved or what baccys do you think you may need to revisit?

Awesome Grrrrr...I have not had enough tobaccos to be able to answer that question just yet. I was hoping to open a page and see "penzance in stock" lol.

Same here smokeandmirrors! I was stoked! Never had it, been looking for it and just doesn't seem to exist out in the marketplace...

I just realized I have never smoked a pipe tobacco that I disliked. There were only ones that I wasn't in the mood for at the moment.

I didn't really care for Esoterica Stonehaven at first. Then after rubbing out the thick, very moist flakes real good & letting it dry to a crisp (overnight), I though it was great. It seems to me that many pipe tobaccos have to find their "sweet spot" in terms of dryness and where you personally like them. Also, the size of the bowl makes a huge difference, IMO.

I am going to forget this now because ill probably be looking for a larger pipe.

Just curious and also new to pipes, why would the size of the bowl play a factor on how a baccy would be less/ more enjoyable.

Kevin beat me to it. The size of the bowl can make a difference. I've noticed it more with VA's and VaPer's than I have with English blend but it can still alter it. From what I've found they all seem to smoke a little better in narrower bowls... I'm not an expert by any means, that's just something that was passed on to me when I started smoking a pipe and it seems to hold true.

Thanks Geoff, Ive been using the Cob Grr sent me and I love everything so far. Plus keeps me out of my humidor. I keep finding myself looking on eBay and various other sites and was curious cause i have a feeling it wont be long before i find myself buying a new pipe

Lots of good view points. I smoked this bowl outta one of my nords. Fairly big bowl. Took almost 3 flakes to fill it.

Rex you have a great point. One baccy that I hated was royal yacht. Its a fav of a fellow I know. I know some days im in the mood for certain cigars.
