  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

OK fellas, I tried em both and I am gonna have to lean in the blue direction. But who knows? I may want black tomorrow! Variety is the (peppery) spice of life. I feel these smokes are better at different times of the day. IMO blue is good for after lunch and black after dinner. Outside of the "Don Pepin" line, I always enjoy the Padilla 8/11 Churchhill and the Cabiguan Guapo. Overall never disapointed by my man Pepin.

Between the two, I prefer the black label...but not by much.

Hell, I like 'em both enough that I bought a box of each this weekend.

Smoked a Black Belicoso tonight after work. Too strong for me once again. I like the flavors but the ligero content is too high for me to enjoy them.

Then there is the Pepin Fumadores sold by Holts cigars. These are a pretty good smoke for around $2.00 a stick. They are not long leaf but sandwich style. The only problem I had was the wrapper starting to split in cold dry weather. I put them under my faucet for a few seconds, then roll them in a paper towel they then smoke fine. I have a private well in the rural Ozark mtns. so water quality is pretty good. Cigars are worth a try if you have not had one.

Trying a DPG Blue at this very moment. I love to smoke while reading in the forum and drinking Coke. This is my 1st DPG to try…It’s great, I should have got a few Black Labels & JJ’s also. Guess I’ll pick them up next time I pass the B&M. The DPG Blue is very good, not as much punch as a Taty Brown maybe more like the H-VI Red Label. The cigar has an even burn, smooth, but not to easy draw, just right. I can tell now this will end way too soon and right down to the knuckles. This cigar gets a lot of good reviews, I can see why. If ya haven’t tried one ya better get after it.
