I have been trying to set up a surprise birthday bash for a friend on mine that owns a b&m (Empire Cigars in Raleigh, NC). I didn't know what to get a guy that has all the cigars he needs so i thought it would be cool to try and get some of the industry leaders to autograph boxes, posters, etc to give to him. I really wanted to get him something from Pete Johnson as he is a huge Tatuaje, Cabaiguan, La Riqueza, and now El Triunfador fan. Well, my phone rings this afternoon and it is Pete Johnson himself calling to see what he can do. What an awesome guy to take the time out of his incredibly busy schedule to call some guy pestering him about an autograph. He was super cool and agreed to try and come up with something to send to me for the party. I just wanted to take the time to let everyone know what an incredible guy Pete is. I never in my wildest dreams would have expected him to call me like that. Oh, he also said he called after receiving my PM on BOTL which i also thought was cool. Pete, if you happen to read this, thanks again man. You have a life long supporter here. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to make my day and im sure make my buddy's day as well.

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well, he is a member of BoTL...would you expect anything less? The guys here just go that extra mile for each other. It seems like Pete's just like the rest of us, willing to pitch in where he can.

I had the opportunity to meet him in Houston 2 years ago at what was then RTDA.
Not that I am anyone special either. But, he stopped eating lunch and came over just to shake my hand and ask how he could help me. Again, I am not some glory guy, just a cigar worker. He is a fine fine guy.

Very classy act indeed. Smoked my first Tat tonight(Tatuaje Havana VI Nobles), and truely enjoyed it. From the things I have read here about Pete and now trying a cigar from his company, I can see why there is such high praise!!! Good on ya mate!!!

Yes, I know there is a lot more out there and I plan on trying them(and look forward to it!! too bad they seem out of stock almost everywhere), as they say; it's a marathon not a sprint, hehe.
