Peterson or Savinelli?

So, I've decided to take advantage of P&C's "summer" sale & buy myself a nice, classic pipe. Eventually I'd like to add both a Peterson & and a Savinelli to the collection, but with all the new cigars rolling out shortly, my budget is an either/or at this point. I have it down to a shape on the Savinelli (320) & a line on the Peterson (System Standard - probably bent).

What are some of the pros & cons of each? Any recommendations on the Peterson's as far as shapes go? I want a medium-medium/large bowl.

Any input would be appreciated!

Just curious - after the sale price - how much are you paying?
I do not have much experience with Sav, but the Peterson's I have smoke well. I will add I prefer straight stems over bent

I have a suggestion. Order from Pipe Divan. @bostoneo pointed me in the direction of their site. You are of course ordering from overseas, but the prices are alot lower. Shipping has been free each time for me when ordering at least 2 pipes.

what blends do you smoke more than others- latakia, VAs

Almost everything I smoke has some latakia in it (Nightcap, Across the Pond, & Gaslight have been pretty steady in my rotation). But I do also really enjoy Elizabethan Mixture & Deluxe Navy Rolls. Straight VAs aren't really on my radar.

Do you think 1 is better suited to a blend than the other?

A Savinelli 320 is great for English and other complex blends. A Peterson System pipe is good all around- any blend, more versatile. I smoke mainly VA and VA/Pers and prefer billiards and bulldog/rhodesians. The 320 shape, an author, isn't as good for those blends as they loose concentration. disclaimer: These are my opinions, of which, I am the leading expert...
