Just a racing deal as far as I can see...everyone was slow accelerating off the corner and they were just slow enough that all of them couldn't react quick enough...similar to an accordion affect.

Under a red flag you must stop where you are, he did not, on top of it, he made almost a lap to "rough up" another driver. Driving under a red could create a safety issue for the workers. So I think 5 lap was fine.

You're forgetting that if others crash and he is still running he can still gain positions as long as there are enough laps left so that the people crashing will fall more laps back then he.
