I got a bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel 09.
I love Four Roses and recently everytime I finish a bottle my wife has held onto to it. We are expecting our first girl in a few weeks and she will be named Rose (after both our grandmothers). The store I bought the bottle had a Four Roses event which I was unable to attend. However, I asked if I could get a bottle signed by the master distiller, Jim Rutledge.
This is parenting right here:
I also picked up a bottle of 2009 Sazerac 18 from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. If you've had the Sazerac 6 yo (baby saz) this is a world apart.
And finally, I got some of the Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection. These come as a two 375ml bottle set. I had only read about these releases and was extremely excited to finally get my hands on some. I love the way they print all the info on the label.
Coarse Grain Oak
Fine Grain Oak
