Thank you for providing what in my opinion is a reference guide on the best boutique brand of cigars, top to bottom in the whole industry.

The Capa Natural is the same blend as the PDR 1878 Cubano Especial Maduro except it has a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The white banded Capas have the 4 year old CT wrapper giving them a more refined taste as opposed to the ones distributed through Thompsons.

These will be available in 3 months.

BOLD, RICH and FULL FLAVOR is what Chavet claims of their cigars.

This is a very fitting description of these Don Leoncio factory rolled beauties which get their charge from the Brazilian Bahia Maduro wrapper, Dominican binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler.

These are available in:

Churchill 7 x 48

Corona Gorda 5 5/8 x 46

Robusto 5 x 52

Toro 6 x 50

Torpedo 6 ½ x 52

I just bought my first box of PDR 1878 Capa Madura. Smoking one now, ROTT. Very nice and smooth. A box of 20 coronas was $60. What a deal! Thanks for the excellent thread. Abe sounds like a good egg :)

Thoughts on this sampler?

After seeing Brian Glynn of CO mention PDR, this sampler caught my eye on Cigarbid. It's gone through bidding twice that i've seen, ending under $10 bucks both times.

What do y'all think, worth a shot? or are these the company's throwaway brands
