  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nice find. This video makes it look like easy to make a pipe. But reality is probably a lot of practice, plenty of patience and a crafty mind in the way you want your pipes to turn out.

Still an amazing video. I'll be watching this a few times again....

Thanks for sharing this with us!! Very enjoyable to watch!!

I have seen another similar video and it's interesting to see just how much the techniques differ.

In the other video a lathe with an interesting attachment was used to file the stem right down to the mouthpiece, whereas this guy uses a file for most of it.

Also the mortise was pushed in using a block of briar in the lathe chuck whereas here he is banging it against the table (y)

Very similar tools and process used in both videos though. If anyone else finds these I'm always keen to watch..!:greedy:
