Hello, and thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I am a cigar smoker, and have been for over 15 years now.

I have 6 or 7 pipes that my Uncle gifted me just before passing on. I'd really like to get into pipe smoking, but I am pretty sure that I need to get them cleaned and looked over by a knowledgeable person before I do anything!

I’d also like to get a general idea of possible value, age, and what brand each one is…Would be neat to discover some history on them.

I know that there is MUCH to learn about smoking pipes, so I thought I’d try to locate a shop here in the San Fernando Valley where I might take the first step.

Any thoughts? Any other pipe smokers here in the valley that I might start a conversation with?

I’d prefer to use email to communicate, and thanks again for any assistance :)

Clint,

Edwards House of Tobacco on Tampa and Saticoy in Reseda has a good selection.

Kolpin's Cigar Company on Ventura between Canoga and Topanga, Whoodland Hills, has a decent selection.

Cigar Warehouse in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Boulevard near Sepulveda has a good selcetion also. Those are the shops I go to.
