  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Please help.....

Thanks for all the info guys...Right now I have my hygro in a ziplock with a wet paper towel to see just how well the hygro is working. I'll be lighting up a smoke soon, so I have my fingers crossed that I don't have another split :-(

You guys rock! I really appreciate all of the advice...This site is the BEST period! Between the Camaraderie between the BOTL's and the invaluable advice, BOTL is the greatest cigar board bar none!!

Pardon my n00bness, but is that why you sometimes see a guy lick a cigar from head to foot before lighting up?

Jose
I would say the only need to do that is if the cigar is not stored properly. If it is at the right relative humidity, the wrapper should be fine and not need a lick.

That's also pretty gross too.

I am going to have to try the distilled water method. As the weather has gotten colder I have had a few wrapper splits while smoking in the garage.

This is the exact same thing that is happening to me also. I bought a sampler of Tatuaje Havana VI's I smoke outside also, by the time I was done with the last two smoke's the butt looks almost like a firecracker had just gone off in it. I will try try the water idea on the next stick I smoke.
