Does anyone have the Plugged Cigar Tool? Is it worth buying?

I don't, but I've strongly considered getting one. Usually when I'm smoking a cigar that has a very restrictive draw. There's a member here that makes some nice ones with exotic wood handles that I've heard good things about. Also serve as a handy nubbing tool :thumbsup:.

I had a problem with a Regios Reserva I was smoking a little bit ago and figured I'd share my solution with you guys. Rather than start a new thread I used the ole handy dandy search bar and whadaya know; there was a few threads related to my problem. Anyways, I decided to enjoy my last Regios Reserva and as I usually do I toast the end from outside in and get it going and then I cut it. I find this helps to get an even burn. Well after I cut it I found that the draw was really tight and it was pissing me off. I tried to massage it out and I even cut just a little more off the top. Still tight, hmmmmm. I figured it was plugged and there was no way I was gonna toss it. Now, I don't have a draw tool so what to do? I went to my trusty tool box and grabbed this.
I opened it up and pulled out one of these.
A 1/8 drill bit. I put it directly in in the center of the head of the cigar and gently twisted it as far in as I could. I checked the draw and did it one more time. Perfect. A little ingenuity and I was able to thoroughly enjoy the rest of my cigar trouble free.

A friend of mine is going Into business making them and looks to be really good. It will have the same idea of the drill bit or crochet like hooks on the rod which works as well. ..I have 2 of that type and it works perfectly everytime .
I got one from Forrest, the same that makes the drawers/shelves for wine coolers. Nice looking wood, and does the job. My only issue with a "free-hand" draw tool is you have to be careful you go straight into the cigar. Once or twice I went at an angle and nearly pierced the wrapper. Oops.

Lol. I use a corn cob holder for a nubbing tool.I now feel better about using a bit last week to nub a smoke.

I have one as well that I bought years ago....while it does work sometimes when the tobacco heats up the plug comes right back. I ended up having a friend of mine notch out about 3 crochet like hooks on mine at different places....the rod on the Thompsons is really long so I had him cut off about 2 inches at the end.....then filed it down with a point for insertion and it works like a dream.
The thing with the Draw Poker is that to use it as designed, the ceegar has to be out...the cradle that it lays in is made of plastic...there for a short while, I was poking every cigar I smoked just as a preemptive strike...then I lowered the RH in my humidor to the mid sixties, haven't had a problem since with plugs.
