I remember you were going to meet me there last year for my newbie trade. I smoked both nights all night and no ne said a thing, but that doesn't mean it was legal. I'm on the phone with some one now, after trying for several hours to get live body. This lady is screwed cause I'm not hanging up until she finds my answer. The only thing I found was from 2004 and said that Sanclementes smoking ban only applied to the city beaches and NOT state beach. So if that is still in place we are good to go.

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Orange County Regional Parks are good to go as long as we are not in the wilderness hiking part DUH. As long as it's a grassy area we would be fine. There are a couple nearby, that offer fishing small zoos, bike trails and so one. We could all meet for a killer afternoon, evening at one of these. And we don't have to worry about sand in the hotdogs.

would that be Donheny STATE BEACH? if so that would fall into the state property rule and the answer would be no smoking.
I am way beyond my years of running when the cops show up. I am certainly not beyond dropping my smoke into a camp fire and saying "that was Jeff's cigar".
Niether could I but they said at the ranger station that it was a NO GO on any state property. I guess that included thier parks.

yeah i just called them and they said no.. i dont understand why? you can have as big of a fire as you can make putting out sh!tloads of smoke yet you cant have a cigar??? it dont make any sense

I just called the operations office for the San Clemente State Beach and was told that we CAN smoke at our campsites. The number is 949-492-0802, we should get the person's name so we have someone to blame if we get tickets...lol.
Now the camp sites are not on the sand, they are up a hill, that is not too big, but not small either. Anyhow, a campfire herf in the middle of November, early december would be fun. We could also reserve a couple tent sites and just camp for a couple of days. Outdoor cooking smoking all day/night. Sounds like some fun.
