  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Possible Google Alternative to Playpal?!

"EBay's P*ayPal service generated $233.1 million, or 23%, of eBay's revenue in the first quarter."

Effin' greedy bastards!

I hope Google squashes them.

Google may be the company to look out for. They're entering a lot of markets.

This will be a solution for businesses and not so much like lapyap's person-2-person, so don't get your hopes up too high in that regard.

Yea, I heard that Google was planning this for a bit... From what I understood it was going to be more of a B2B plan then a C2B or C2C.....

But it would not shock me if they did enter the consumer market after they have success in the business market..

I hope this ends up being a C2C as well. I would think it would almost have to in order to be successful.

eh I dont really agree with that Tom.. the massive amounts of companies that want to even be associated with Google is enough that i believe the idea will be successful...

there is a huge amount of online B2B activity out there so it wouldnt shock me either way.....

Looks like you're right Clay

Rather than handle consumer-to-consumer transactions, it is believed that at the very least, Google’s offering will provide a direct payment option for those using Google’s advertising programs and online services (such as AdWords, Google Shop and Google Base).

There's apparently one out there geared towards the gun-folk.
www.gearpay.com

I haven't looked to far into it, but the only stipulations I've seen is that you can't use it to support anti-gun causes.
