Hey guys,

My local beer store gave me a bottle of prairie bomb when they saw me buying a four pack of backwoods basturd ale.

What's is the story on this?

The story is it's the bomb! From what I recall, it's barrel aged but doesn't have huge bourbon barrel notes. More coffee & dark chocolate forward, followed by vanilla, bourbon, etc. The peppers are present, but more on the backend for me.

"Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to compliment the intense coffee and chocolate flavors."

Youd be better at telling the story if you crack it open and try it.
At 13%abv you'll feel better too.

Bomb! is Very good ...

BTW - barreled Bomb! is coming in a few months

Hey Aggie, did you score that in Irving? I'll be in the Frisco/Dallas/Arlington area soon and I'd like to find some of the Bomb! while I'm down there. Oh yeah, Hook 'em! I'll miss our rivalry!

Bomb is great, no doubt.

Pirate bomb is the BBA version, has not been sold outside of OK yet, but rumors are that it will be sold in Texas in Jan.

My pickups so far...
