It started on Thursday morning my dad was taken to a local hospital he felt dizzy and was very pale. At 10 pm on Thursday we got a call that dad was being transfered to another hospital he had a aortic disection and needed imediate surgry. The surgeon made no qualms that this was risky surgery and even if he made it through the surgery he would have have a long recovery. He was in the operating room for nine hours and made it through pretty well. Now its moment to moment a nurse is with him 24/7 til he recovers. My family are all running on cat naps and caffee, praying for the best and dreading hearing the phone ring.

You got it brother. My wife's Aunt who is 47 has had this surgery three times. It's not easy but as long as he does what the docs tell him he could recover very well. Still, a very scary issue. My prayers are with you and your family.
