Okay, so I usually don't take to public forums with family issues, but we need everyone we know praying for my mother in law. So I'm asking everyone here to please keep her in your thoughts.
She is fighting Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer, and is losing the battle. She has been through four different types of chemo, stem cell transplant, and is on the last known chemo cocktail approved for this cancer. Last Friday she was admitted to the hospital with the flu and pneumonia. They have tried just about everything and can't get oxygen into her system or the fluid off her lungs. An hour or so ago they sedated her and put her on a ventilator. The hope is that her body wont have to work as hard to breath and can start healing, but she could also not come out of this.
We are keeping positive as best we can, and my wife is going up to the hospital tomorrow while I keep the kids at home. We both lost grandparents to pneumonia, and dont want our 4 year old's last memory to be her grandmother in a coma like ours are. Anyways, I'm rambling now, so I will close with this request...
Whatever greater power you believe in, I would appreciate it if you could say a prayer tonight on her behalf.
Thanks
Jim
