Price fluctuations

I am noticing that prices tend to fluctuate pretty dramatically online from the same vendor.

I've seen a box price with a variance of $20-$30 within the span of a couple of months. It seems to fluctuate up and down. I am wondering if vendors (or this vendor in particular) adjusts the price according to the age of the box? This particular vendor does not list box codes.

My best guess is exchange rate and the different market price they may pay for each individual shipment they get. Also if the vendor has a good amount of "gray market" smokes they may pay a little extra for those times when they need to acquire product from someone other than their normal supplier. I have noticed one particular site where the prices change a few cents or a few dollars every other day or so as well.
