  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

PSA: Check your tins for rust.

I was packing up some tobacco to send to another BOTL and made a horrifying discovery. I picked up my last tin of Penzance and the bottom felt rough...

I go to pop the lid and it came off with no effort at all. Here's what I found inside, along with a brick of dried out tobacco.

I threw the tobacco in a bail top jar and I'm slowing adding distilled water back to it but I doubt it will ever be the same. So check your tins, gentlemen. I don't want to see anyone else lose good 'bacy.

I've done the white bread trick with cookies and brown sugar before but I've never thought about doing it with tobacco. I don't want to do anything that could potentially cause mold.

Watch the dagner video on you tube about haunted bookshop. He did it and it worked great!
