I try not to smoke a Super Premium after I have just smoked a cigar. I think it is a waste. Your palate has been rode hard and put away wet.

Damn - Would have made a hell of a poll son. LOL

At the trade show, I didnt want to try something I thought was going to be really good if I had been smoking all day. Tried to smoke the lighter stuff earlier in the day and then progress.

yeah, this greatly depends on the progression of the smokes...a powerhouse to start and a 30yr old stick to follow would make a hell of a difference but vice-versa may not be very dramatic.

I try to go light to heavy, or more likely in my case heavy all the way through (just not heavy to light). I also don't smoke expensive stuff as a 3rd, 4th, or whatever cigar...

My palate seems to catch up to whatever I'm smoking right around the end of the first third depending on how many I've smoked so I try to arrange a "batting order" if I plan to smoke 3 or more.

I almost never get much out of stick #2 unless there is a good 1/2 hour and something to cleanse my palate (food, booze, etc.). Even then, my ability to taste what's going on is reduced by at least 50%. I hope this improves with time. I know guys who smoke 4-5 cigars in a day without missing a beat, it seams.

It definitely affects me but not enough to ruin the experience. I certainly wouldn't smoke a cigar and then smoke another different cigar and review it though.

I normally only smoke 2 a day, morning and evening. The back to back thing does not work for me. I have not got that great a palate. Most of my smokes are full bodied or at least med to full.

Depends on the number of cigars and the cigars themselves. Though I can pretty much say after 3-4 my palate is pretty much dead. I don't usually have an issue with two cigars.

Of course, I don't think I have all that great of a palate to begin with when it comes to tasting nuances in cigars.

When i know i'm gonna smoke a couple in a row i try to give at least a half hour inbetween cigars. if i go back to back flavors blend and cant really tell what's going on with the second cigar

I can not chain smoke cigars, sometimes I would like to but can't. I think the last one I smoked was over 2 hours so I know I was done after that 1!

I only smoke one a day because I enjoy just that one cigar to the fullest. I've tried back to back but I think it cheapens the experience. If I do smoke another cigar I wait along time before I do...which is rare.

I voted very little, mostly because I always take at least an hour or so between and usually eat/drink something as well. I can only think of one time recently I chain smoked 3 cigars and I started light and finished strong. Palate was ruined that day by the end of the 3rd cigar, but that is a very rare occasion I do that.
