Just had my first Signature (6x46) this evening. I thought the first 1/2 of the cigar was smooth but on the mild side of medium and to me "un-inspired" But as the cigar got into the last third the flavors really developed and I thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of inches of the cigar.

My question is would trying one of the larger sizes either the 7x46, 7 5/8x54 or 9x52 extended the "sweet spot". If I give it another try should I go with the larger ring gauge or longer length before deciding if I like the brand enough to justify it's price point?

Thanks

Skip the Untold Story and Masterpiece if price is a factor, the Classic is not much more in cost than the Signature.

That may well be part of the problem. I bought from a normally reliable B&M and only stored it for 4 days thinking they where ready. If I had purchased on-line they would have rested for at least a month.

Looking over my tasting notes I observed a bit of metallic taste in the beginning. Wouldn't expect that in such a highly rated cigar so it has to be that the cigar wasn't properly aged at the B&M.

I do this the other way around. B&M cigars sit longer and I have no problems smoking shipped ones as they arrive.

Must be hard to own a B&M. How do you stay in business selling improperly humidified or rested cigars 40% more expensive then on-line?
The recommendations of forum members is probably more valuable and relevant.

I tend to prefer Maduro's. Is the Hemingway Maduro a good smoke? I see they are bit more expensive, may be the reason.
