R.I.P. Sweet Tiger, Will always remember first torch lighter

Well... I bought this torch on my 18th birthday on my first ever trip to a B&M, and man has this little bugger been a workhorse. NEVER had any lighting problems or anything like that, tough the flip-top did break off recently (after almost three years and it was COMPLETELY my fault it broke)

Sitting down, maxin' relaxin' and enjoying a 7-20-4 Corona, when I stand up, forgetting said lighter was on my lap, lighter falls to concrete.
And when I say explode, I mean EXPLODE! all I know is I heard a report like a small(ish) firework and my beloved lighter was in pieces on the floor

Upon further inspection, there really is no hope of fixing this guy, butane tank is shattered, striker wont strike, well... Time to buy Xikar!

Had the exact same lighter except in a faux wood grain. Exploded mine after about 2 years the same way. Loved that thing.

I hope you get it replaced. Sorry bro.

The case was fortunately left intact. Picked up a new one of the same model today underwarranty, just haven't switched the cases yet, dont think I will I think I'm going to do the same thing with different bands and do a better job, that was a "Hey wonder how this would look" thing I guess you could say
