Sometimes I think that there is a direct correlation between the enjoyment of a particular smoke and the activity/ memory/experience while smoking it. This isn't always the case, but a mediocre cigar amongst exceptional company or with beautiful scenery makes it more enjoyable. An exceptional cigar during trials or extreme pressure/stress can lessen the enjoyment. This can probably be said about almost anything in life

Sometimes I guess you just have to take what life throws and find enjoyment in the little things and be thankful that you are ......fill in the blank....... (right now smoking a great cigar)

I am blessed!

Red, I completely agree! It's all about the experience. Some of the best "smokes" I had were with friends - lively conversation, delicious food and/or libations...

Definitely, the cigars I've enjoyed the most have been ones that I enjoy with friends. After a bad day at work, those just don't hit the same spot, even if it's the same cigar. Perception of anything has a lot to do with enjoyment.

i also agree. Theres definitely some mediocre cigars that i have immortalized due to the events that were going on while i was enjoying it (ie, memorable experiences or awesome company)

See I was driving, and saw a Rocky Mountain High bumper sticker. That made me think of John Denver.

Then I thought...man John Denver and Steve Erwin looked alot alike.

Then i thought Bob Ross was so boss...and he painted happy trees.

So i searched out a random thoughts thread...found this....realized my sophomoric thoughts cant hang with yall.

Posted anyway.
