Interested in sharing some ISOM tubos with firends at my wedding (for convenience reasons). Any recommendations for marcas with solid tubo offerings? Any whose tubo offerings stand up to their non-tubo equivillents?

That should be a start for ya. Happy hunting, it's half the fun.

Out of the few tubos I've smoked I'd say PSD4 and H Upmann 46 mag were my favorite. They also taste better to me out of the tubos. Don't ask me why?:dunno:

Most age you'll likely find on a tubos is gonna be Mag 46. You can pretty readily find 08s.

Don't overlook Monte Petit Edmundos though, and believe 08s are out there as well.

Siglo IV and PSD4 are also good choices, but they'll be fresh, so I'd suggest the two prior 08s over them as a result.

Brought some RyJ Romeo #1s back from Europe awhile back. Not real complex but very smooth and tasty.

Potentially a good choice for your groomsmen who may not be BOTLs.

The RyJ #1 is a great choice that's super price friendly...around $5 a stick
The RyJ ShortChurchill is in my top 3 smokes
The PSD4 is always a great choice

And if you wanna spend some extra coin, the Siglo VI is the obvious choice.

there is an Island South of Miami that is known for making really good cigars. hint.
I think Bass Mans actual pt was you can't smoke an ISOM. It's an old acronym that has been passed around on pretty much every forum ive seen at some pt or another.

It's a Cuban cigar we're referencing, so just call it a "Cuban cigar" or cc if shortening is the ultimate goal. No need for ISOM, and it's an acronym better left to die IMO.

My use of the acronym is just force of habit and personal preference (much like the use of B&M instead of "local cigar shop"). Didn't think it was that big of a deal, and figured that anyone responding would know what I am talking about. :dunno:

Anyway, thanks to all for the suggestions. The Mag 46s from 08 seem like the way to go (I was originally on the fence between these and the PSD4s, and have had good experiences with non-tubo Mag 50s). The hunt begins.:cbig:
