"Refinishing" a Blistered Pipe

I have a pipe that develop a few blisters in the finish when I drove it too hot one night and another that is scorched/blackened on the rim. Is it possible to refinish them by doing some light sanding and then buffing with carnauba wax?

Alcohol-soluble analine stains followed by carnauba wax applied with a buffing wheel are the standard finish for briar pipes. You can find the tools/supplies on this site, look under tools:

You didn't even mention the site once :thumbsup: enjoy bro its always fun to restore things never restored a pipe but I'm sure the process has its pleasures.
