Scared myself in a mirror today...
Nah, j/k! :smokingbo:
So I was driving to work this morning, just reflecting on how pissed I am that work went so late yesterday that I missed my Thursday cigar lounge evening and got to thinking about my cigar origins. I realized that I haven't lately been as fascinated with cigars as I once was. Well, maybe that not exactly true, but I guess not fascinated in the same way.
I remember being at a large outdoor mall back home with my best friend and a Don Tomas (remember, early cigar smoker at this point). I distinctly had this flashback to the emotion at that time- and it was an appreciative fascination with the construction and existence of the cigar. The bunching visible at the foot,... the tightness of the wrapper and the faint line traceable in a barber pole form,.... the smooth lines of the cap,.... the smell of the tobacco and the novelty of holding it in my hand. *sigh*....
Now, I'm fascinated by the taste and great burn, and by the accompanying alcoholic beverage. I don't think that I've necessarily lost it for the construction, but I suppose I take it more for granted than I used to- and it's certainly lost its novelty.
Sorry, sappy time is done... :timebomb:
