Review: Tatuaje Red Tubo

So I smoked this one yesterday. I had the same problem as lilo, mine seemed a little wet, which really muted any flavors. I've had it in the humi at 67% for two months, but with cap on. I think maybe I should have stored it out of the tube, or at least with the cap off? All I got was a damp cedar flavor, and had a bad burn due to the moisture level.

I bought a box of these a month or two ago, and was sort of disappointed to see that a few of them were in pretty rough shape, tears in the wrapper, F'd up feet and caps, etc. The few I have smoked have been amazing though, even with a few construction problems.

I swear to god we are related. I just had my second one 2 days ago after letting it sit in the tube/otterbox for 2 weeks. Not one touchup or relight to speak of. Great flavors and boy could I taste that wrapper. Thanks 4 the review!

So should these be stored in the tubes? Out of the tubes? In tubes with no caps?

I've been keeping mine in the tubes at 65. But if I'm going to smoke one I leave it in the tube in the otterbox with no humidity. Basically dryboxing it in it's tube for ten days or so.

I store all my tubo cigars minus the cap. It seemed to work out perfectly and I have no issues to date!

good to see this review revived... these are smoking just awesome right now. Burn is razor sharp and flavor is complex and everything that I love about tats is all in this stick.
