Ruger SR1911 found a new home today

Been looking at 1911's for quite a while and finally broke down and bought one. I know there are all kinds of opinions on the 1911 platform but I felt this was a great gun for the money ($649) AND it's made in the USA. Anyone else own one of these SR1911's?

I'm sure there are a bunch of 1911 owners on here but I was asking specifically about the SR1911 from Ruger. I have read every review and watched every YouTube video ever produced before I bought it but was curious if anyone here had any personal experience with this particular 1911.

Awesome piece. Nicely balanced and comfortable grip for me. Good choice, and like ya said, the $ stays in America.

Definitely a good looking pistol and 650 is great for a brand new 1911. Congrats. Imma few firearms away from my 1911 purchase

Congrats on the new gun! Hope you have better luck than I did.
Had one and sold it. Mine was as problematic as a Ford Pinto, just more catastrophic.
