Similar here, I used a two part bar cote epoxy, rock hard when dry!

how or with what do you stick the labels on? then apply the glaze?

elmer's glue with a small brush.

I used a craft glue called Mod Podge, let it dry overnight and then mixed and poured the epoxy on, it self levels and most of the bubbles self pop too. Pretty easy.
