Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
My friend, John would have loved the burial service. It was "Cowboy". Everything about John had to be "Cowboy". If it was not "Cowboy" he did not want it or need it. John was a few years older than me. He was a little bigger than me too. I am 6' 1" and John was 6' 5". That being said he was like my little brother. I taught him how to swing a rope. I even sold him his 1st horse. He used to show up at the rodeos I would enter back in the day. He always told everyone how much he looked up to me. What I never told him was how much I looked up to him. He had a big heart. He was truly the kindest, gentlest and most caring person I remember being around. He always thought of everyone's happiness and comfort before thinking of himself. He also was generous. When he came to see me, he almost always had a gift. Something stupid like a ball cap from some little backwoods country store or a T-shirt from some cattle auction house he had been too.Nicely done as far as the memorial. Glad to see you back around brother.
