  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

SCHIP Passage - What will you do?

Will you change your ways w/ the SCHIP passage?

So with the passage of the SCHIP everyone is up in arms over the cigar tobacco tax hike. This means an increase per box of $8-10. But now that this is a reality, will you change your ways?

Will you stop smoking cigars?

Will you buy and smoke less?

Will you buy cheaper smokes?

Will you "keep on keepin' on"?

This seems like a dedicated group of cigar smokers, I am interested to see what you guys think.

But need to add, I'm lucky enough to have a good job, a wife that works full-time, and a pension from the military. So .40 a stick is not going to hurt. I was at my B&M yesterday and he told me the SCHIP tax on "roll your own" loose tobacco was going to $24.98/pound - that's too hefty.

later,

I'll keep on the best I can... .40 per stick isn't too bad, 8-10 hurts a little on boxes, but I'm always bargain hunting & know of plenty of value sticks out there that this doesn't deter me much at all.

Well I've actually started to smoke a little less so I'll probably continue to do so. I've begun a workout plan and I think I'm going to stick with it for a while. I'm down 20lbs since the beginning of the year and this time I'm not stopping. So a couple less cigars during the week will keep me on the cardio a little longer:grin:
