  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I already feel I spend way too much on sticks, I'm not sure yet whether this will make a difference in my purchasing.

With this and the the new tax coming here in PA., I am very disappointed. I will just continue on as I have been.; I will make purchases when I am comfortable and smoke when I can. I don't believe any of these issues are going to cause me to run out of smokes, it may just slow my rotation.

To top it off my wife is now starting to complain about third hand smoke http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/03/health/research/03smoke.html and its deadly effects.
The "third hand smoke" thing is completely nonsense. There's no science there. The article discussed in the NYT wasn't even about whether third-hand smoke was harmful; they simply did a survey asking people if they knew that third-hand smoke is (supposedly) harmful:

Here's an actual epidemiologist's take:

Same answer to "what will you do if gas hits $3.00 a gallon"? Suck it up and pay the piper.

Still undecided.. I know that I have a fixed cigar budget and that's it. If they raise the price of cigars that could mean I can't buy as many. I have been looking into some value smokes and have found some pretty good ones. Who will probably get hurt in the end my local retailers since I will look into value purchasing.

All in all I will probably some less and less. I'm very bitter about the whole situation but until I actually see the prices it's hard to say.
