  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Since this is my first winter as a cigar smoker and the wife won't let me smoke in the house I think I'll just smoke smaller cigars. So far I like the Oliva Special G.

I salute the wife  smoke in a house is never a good thing. Just my opinion. On the other front, you should give the Illusione 68, La Riqueza 5 and petit robusto a try. All three are excellent, quick smokes. If you are able to find the 68's with some age (the box date is on the bottom of the box) I find these to be fantastic, with a smooth finish on the palate.

For sure G, you might also want to check out the LFD double ligero 452. A very rich and full bodied stick that is excellent to end the evening with...

Sideways threadjack on the smoking in the house issue, I have a good smoke-eater, a small house, and am single, so it doesn't affect me here. When I deploy, however, it does. When I go to Iraq (because I have to smoke outside) I pack a lot of Tempus coronas, as well as the Padron Londres. When I am at home I go for Churchill size cigars.

I was actually thinking the same thing a few days ago while smoking a T110 outside while it was chilly here in NY. The full flavored cigars tend to be what I will reach for in the colder weather.

The cold definitely affects me b/c I smoke all of my cigars outside, and I hate the cold! Today is beautiful in NY so I'm going to go enjoy one of the last nice days for a while!
