Had to have a second round of lasik yesterday. They didn't have to cut the flap again but this time it was more unpleasant then the first. The first time the had to over correct for my astigmatism. After i could not read small print at all but after a night of pain i am a lot better its great. It sucked having a astigmatism and being young and i am so happy that i went threw with it.

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm right there with you Cigarguy. Pretty much had the same prescription you did. I did my lasik about 3 years ago, and had to go have my right eye "touched up". It's all good and one of the best things I've ever done. I had been wearing glasses since I was three years old!

Nev...hic...never.
Blind as a bat, i dont remember but it was very bad. I was cursed to glasses the correct contact were just to painful to use.
I don't wont to scare anybody off one evening off discomfort for the pleasure of being able to see. Love it!!!

My mom had a lot of success with her surgery, she can even see at night to drive now, Good Luck!

Strife, they give you this cool little pill (usu. Valium or equivalent) beforehand, and then when you're lying down on the table, they put an anesthetic eye drop on your cornea to kill the pain that you would otherwise experience. I had no pain during or after my procedure.
Lasik was without a doubt the best money I have ever spent.
10 years later, my vision is still kicking along nicely, and i had no touchups required on mine.
My 'scrip' beforehand was -7.5 in both eyes. I figure that I've saved probably 3-4K in contacts and glasses since I had the procedure.

twice here, the second time had the monovision done. I still have to wear glasses when working on computers as the distance is in between the distances my eyes focus naturally.
