This week I tested my hygros and found out that the one I had in the top drawer of my mini was reading 4 points high...meaning my smokes up there were at 60% RH while the bottom of the humi and the shelf with the S&F monitor were both at 64% as I had set it at.

So, I moved the reservoir onto the shelf and the cabinet is now 64% top to bottom.

I am really posting this for future reference if any of you ever get a Bob Staebell cabinet and the Set and Forget system or are struggling with the same issue and haven't tried this yet.

thanks for the info...will probably be handy for lots of different cabinets!

slight thread jack:

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask...what exactly did M.O.A.B stand for? I know if was tied to the excellent Humi, and I can guess, but help a brother out, please???

The S&F reservoir has a fan in the top and Bob left about a one inch gap between the back wall and the drawers. I can feel the air moving around the top drawer when it is on.

for a full 48 hours now it is steadily the same RH throughout.

Yours is the 1200 right?

Is that almost twice as large?

I think if mine was any larger I would need fans.
Yes, the 1200. I don't think it is a whole lot bigger than the Aristocrat mini....deeper I think amd a little taller. Definitely need fans though, if fact, you can get the 1200 with 4 fans as an option.
