Shipping delays question?

Does anyone know if the government shut down is effecting international shipments? I know USPS is still operating but was unsure on customs.

The word I have heard is usps is good to go, but customs could be slower.

I read something on a travel site that showed no disruption for customs, although that was mainly with regard to border staff, as we're coming across the line this weekend and I wondered.

I live in a border adjacent town and from what we've seen USPS is running full strength but Customs is running on a scaled down front so bring some patients and good sticks if looking to cross
