I'm not a fan of short sleves with a tie. During the summer i'll wear a short sleve to work, they are more causal then dressy IMO.

I set in meetings with design engineers quite a bit and see a lot of them with ties.... not a big fan. But then, I'm a field engineer... much cooler breed!
