My first box of H Upmann Half Coronas. Dated April 2013.

Very fresh - but not bad right off the truck. I'll rest the others for a few months.

Thanks, Doug. I wanted to at least give them a try. I'm hoping that them being stored in cardboard for 13+ years doesn't kill their flavor profile. They look well rolled & there's no "off" smells, so I think I'll be alright. Tiny little guys too (5x33). Gotta let them rest a while now... :)

Not necessarily. Cigars ruined in storage (especially CC's stored in flimsy cardboard packaging for 13+ years) definitely can't be magically brought back to life just by letting them sit in your humidor for a couple weeks, IMO. These don't have a cardboard smell (or any "off" smell at all) to begin with, so I think my initial worries are unfounded.
