Siglo VI

My folks just went to Scotland to see my brother who is studying photography at Edinburgh College of Arts and I asked them to stop in a local store and pick me up something. My brother knows what I like, so he went with them. So they get back today and we go to visit, so they can see grand-daughter and such. When low and behold, Mom says, I got you one of these, your brother said you would like it.



Man, what a nice looking stick. I think I will let this baby chill for about a week or so, then I am going to have to fire it up!



So what do you guys think about this stick. Should I exercise restraint or fire it up?? What have your experiences been with the Siglo VI?

I have no idea dude on the year, I would imagine my brother just saw Cohiba and knew I liked them so he steered them in that direction.

I've got one of those laying as well. It's looks tastey! But considering the price tag, i'm waiting as long as i can to smoke it. it'll be a couple years before i can buy more.

I always wait for some kind of occasion to smoke my expensive or hard to get cigars. But don't be too picky about the occasion either. Realize, you will come across more fine cigars and possibly even this one again in the future. If you have a dinner or BBQ planned for the summer months, hold off until then if you want, but every cigar was destined to die slowly by fire. Thisis just me, I don't have a huge collection, so I smoke yard gars until I have friends over or am playing cards or something.

Cigars are to be smoked, so smoke it. Then you can tell your parents and brother how much you enjoyed it and how much it meant to you that they took the time to get you that stick. They will be pleased and so will you. There are plenty of smokes out there. . .:glassesgr

Like they said in that wine movie a few years ago...the one that made pinot noir chic...You don't need a special occasion to open a great bottle of wine; opening that great bottle fo wine is a special occasion in and of itself.

Thats a paraphrase. Maybe someone else knows what they really said, but the piont is the same.

Firing up that good stick IS a special occassion.

I used to do the same with a lot of cigars till I truly realized that hey, what if I die next week, what if I wait two years to smoke that "special cigar" and it sucks? Granted there are still some sticks that I wait on, but I do find myself smoking a lot more Opus just riding around town doing errands now too.

I agree, but I did say, don't be too picky about the occasion. There are only so many special occasions per year. So I will not smoke my prized PAM 64s or CC's Opus by myself. I'll wait for those to smoke during a poker game, or a BBQ with friends. Now the Padron 80th that Bill gave me? Maybe Father's Day or new Years Eve. I hear those may need a bit more time.

I have smoked the Cohiba Sig VI and so far has been my favorite smoke i have ever had. It was probably the smoke and the friends i enjoyed it with but one of the best experiences in my life to date you will enjoy it
