So I had Chinese for lunch today. Open the fortune cookie and what the hell is this?

Bahah, no English just Spanish? Don't feel bad Dan, in Quebec it is illegal to have signs in English... Then again this is Canada

There was English on the back...I assume it was the translation. But in Quebec they speak French so I can deal with that...not well as my French is really really rusty. This is the US of A and things should be in English...or seeing as how it was a fortune cookie I could even expect the squiggly symbols Chinese people say are words :grin:. *bangs head on keyboard*

Do you notice there no "Fortunes" in the cookie? It's just commen sense phrases. So why do the call the fortune cookies? Should be calles "Confucius Cookies"!

I had the same thing happen. In 10 years time Spanish will be the national language of the US. We need to force government to establish English as the national language and stop all the bi-lingual services.

Our forefathers came to this country and were forced to assimilate, why do we now cater to everyone else? Its the tail wagging the dog.

I couldn't agree more.
Also when my grandparents came to this country (through Ellis Island), their generation came to be Americans. They came to be proud Americans, learn the language, learn the American way and to be a contributing part of it.
