  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

silly question

Err, I guess I should have added - I do NOT intend to CHEW on these cigars.

And no, I don't think any cigar is good to chew on, Doc. I think cigars were made to smoke, and only to smoke.

But then again, everyone is different!

To each his own. I have never had these, so far be it for me to make comment for or against, however- one principle among BOTL's shall always stand- "SMOKE WHAT YOU LIKE". This means anything. I hope you find them enjoyable, as any smoke should be.

I have a certain friend in my circle that enjoy buying these types of cigars. We call them the hit or miss. Might have 10, but 4 might be good. I hope by chewing you mean smoking, but if your literally meaning "chewing" terms which chewing on the ends , they are both fine.

I have had buddies gives me seconds and leftovers, you name it. Try it, I have had seconds and they blow me away, the quality you might expect but for the price, what can't you say?

Not sure if it would make a good bomb or a "i hate you bomb" , yet to see one, but @ .50 each, I would keep them in a separate humidor.

Why?

Well, we all have "that friend"; who wants to smoke all your good stuff and never brings any of there. ... Get where I am going?

Enjoy. No question is too small or too big.

I have discovered some very nice sticks by trying different things. Now you have to kiss a lot of frogs but if you find one, way cool.
Give them a try.

The bad ones I dump. I try not to give bad cigars to anyone.

Thanks for the info gents. As for the chewing I wasn't really trying to be literal I was just wondering if these deals you sometimes see can be good or if they mostly just end up as not really fit to smoke. I have to wonder when they say boxes of cigars are lost in a warehouse for 10 or more years. would the humidity be controlled in a cigar warehouse?

I say try them. Even if they definetly look like some hit or miss, momma says it's like a box of chocolate; so try them out and find out. Don't worry about their humidity levels either. And lastly, there are no silly questions

I know at Cigars International they have these kind of deals all the time. The nice thing about CI is if you try one and they are crap you can send them back for a full refund. I dont know if Holts does this or not. I thre away a lot of cigars until I read this on CT's web page.
