Todd,

I have the model and it is significantly bigger than the one you are comparing it to.

Ooops...my bad. I have the standard size SAK so I actually I have no idea in regards to the comparison of the 2 you have referenced!

All I can find is length measurements...the regular knife I have is 2 1/2 inches long and the slim cutter is 3 1/4 inches long.

The length difference of 3/4 inches isn't really that important. It's the thickness that I'm concerned with.

That's what she said

I have the standard SAK, and I know it's awesome, sharp as hell

Barely above the waterline.
They're very close to the same size. I have the 'first picture one". The file and cigar cutter are on the same side/end. (that equates to width.) On the other one, the knife and file are side by side. Same thing. I just wish the 'cigar' model had the tweezers and toothpick. They grow on ya, if you are familiar with SAK's.

I realize that it's a "gentelman's" knife (size), but the file is virtually worthless, (a short cigar reamer for plugged sticks makes more sense to me), and rhe toothpick is an oft used item.

The golf model has a divot tool, etc. and it is thicker. A little bulky in the pocket. And...I don't golf, so that's worthless bulk and weight to me. And they won't make one to my specs. I asked them.[-o< They replied.=;

All in all, the best cutter I own. It's always in my pocket.:)

I agree with riverrat, i love it. Its a hair bigger than the 'original' but I always carry it in my front pocket and can't tell its there.

Oh, I have to get one of those!

I think the stainless slim model looks awesome, I wonder how long they are going to be on back order. I found a few sites that do custom engraving for around 5 bucks, but there were no reviews for the sites that I could find.

Just got my stainless SAK from that place I mentioned above. This thing is both beautiful and works great!

That online retailer did a nice job of getting it out to me too and they were slightly cheaper than everyone else, for what it is worth.
